I mean bro is manhandling opponents and calling them “bobo” and stuff 😂. Like as a Barca fan who’s watched him my whole life, I’m not going to say he was timid his whole career, but this dude is a whole new person from the guy who lost the WC in '14.

What happened?

Yeah. It’s crazy watching Messi picking a fight with 20 year olds lol. He’s definitely gotten more aggressive over the years, which have built up to this.

As a Spanish speaker, listening to Messi’s insults is like listening to a 4th grader talking shit. He really needs to improve his talking shit skills.

Bro thinks he can manhandle people’s throats and doesn’t condemn racism against Rodrygo. Pepsi has become one of the biggest cunts in football. Look up Messi 14 for more information.

Why do people care so much? I’ve seen that conversation between him and Rodrygo post about 50 times when nothing of interest was said.

It goes back further than that. Remember the things he did against the Netherlands, calling Weghorst “bobo”, back at Barca he confronted refs and stuff, he never did that in his twenties lol.

He was provoked by the Netherlands. Let’s not forget the Dutch are infamous for spicing up difficult matches, specially in World Cups. They played dirty against Portugal in 2006, Spain in 2010 and Mexico in 2014. They tried to do the same with Argentina but it backfired horribly, since most matches in the South American qualifiers are always like that.

I’m not against dirty tactics, they spice up the game. But the Dutch should stop crying every time they lose in their own game. Let’s not forget they injured Cristiano with disqualifying kicks in 2006, and softened Spain’s flesh with their kicks in 2010.

No one has to provoke dirty argies, the nastiest team in this realm. Which is fine for them, as I won’t expect different from a nation with that history but the officials allow them time after time to get away with treachery which is the only way they can win. That will end soon though and someone will sort Messi out as well

          > They tried to do the same with Argentina but it backfired horribly,

How did it backfire horribly? Wasn’t it a fairly even-ish match which then Argentina won on pens?

            ‘Fairly even match’

Now that’s funny. It’s a miracle the Dutch survived till full time

We must have watched different matches. The Dutch survived off of schoolboy long ball punt tactics. Two very fortunate opportunities, when Argentina dominated them with their own system throughout the 120. The Dutch were lucky to make it to extra time, let alone pens.

It was the karma for us in the last world cup, not being able to close the match in the last 10 minutes. Australia almost tied, Netherlands had two miracle goals and Mbappé tied the final out of nowhere

That’s literally regular trash talk wt that level or competition. The fact that Argentina and Netherlands are historical rivals just adds to the fuel. And who gives a fuck about the “Bobo” comments? It’s not a discriminatory insult. The Dutch players were talking shit before the match and also taunting our players before every spot kick. This really isn’t that deep my guy.

He did the same thing to Araujo during Leagues Cup, when he first joined MLS.

If I had to take a wild guess, considering he’s argentine… he’s hurling the most racist shit he can think of at them.

I mean he did have to spend 2 years in that shit hole of a city they call Paris. The fans booing him didn’t help. That’s not even mentioning the fact he essentially got pushed out of the club he loved
