It has surprised me how much I’ve missed Riyad Mahrez. Like many I loved this player since he came into the league with Leicester, even more so from that unbelievable title winning season. Eventually he moved to Man City, the club I have the most dislike for in the league, but I just loved watching him. I guess I never realised until he was gone just how much I loved watching him though.
Kind of wish that if he was planning on leaving City that he’d have stayed in the league for a new challange. To go from a team that won everything to an Arsenal or a Newcastle and try to take those clubs to the next level perhaps. But yeah it did surprise me just how much I’ve missed him this season.
I also have to throw in David de Gea, made sense for United to move him on, I mean they had believed Onana was available and he had just played a Champions League final, but de Gea would have done the bits for United again this season no doubt. Miss his goalkeeping in the PL
Zaha
Granit Xhaka
F. Torres
Kante
Xhaka. Currently bossing the bundesliga. Would love to see him alongside Rice 😭. 🔴⚪
I loved Xhaka but if you watch his highlights closely you’ll just see how much more time and space he’s afforded in the Bundesliga. His progression stats are because the league is just that touch slower.
Exact same reason Sancho looked so good in Germany and not in England.
There are so many maturity factors involved there. Just a silly take. Dirt mud babysat him and made him actually study and sleep and trai
And more open.
Currently bossing the bundesliga.
I’m loving the idea of the former Arsenal captain moving to Germany and stopping the former Spurs captain winning his first ever trophy.
Lloris is playing in the bundesliga?
4d chess? Ya
Rice and Xhaka would have been criminal to other teams tho
Bobby
Bobby Firmino.
Tbh it was time
Why though? 25 appearances in the PL last season, 11 goals and 4 assists in not bad for coming off the bench half of those games.
He was such a cool guy too. I remember the Salah/Mane incident and then Bobby’s cheeky grin behind them in the tunnel.
Si Senor.
you can still see his teeth from here
Saint-Maximin for sure. Had some injury issues and was a bit hit and miss at times but on his day was absolutely electric.
Harry Kane
I kinda miss Xhaka. Zaha and Mitrovic were also entertaining.
I miss Xhaka a lot. Obviously have a modified playstyle this season but I miss his long passing. Also redemption arc personified was sad to see him go.
Miss Xhaka too. My little shit house
Leroy Sane
Harry Kane. He was a one man army for spurs
Funny enough they’re actually doing better without him. (please don’t take me seriously)
It’s not wrong, Postecoglou and the new players were a big enough improvement on the rest of the squad to not miss Kane, but I wish they still had Kane, considering what he did for very disfunctional squads and what he’s doing for Bayern, Spurs would be insane with him this season
Yeah but what I mean is they’d most likely be even better with him. Although I personally really fancy Son as the striker.
Spurs are going to end up having the same issues that they had when Kane was still there. They look decent in the beginning of the season but once injuries occur and starters get tired they fall off a cliff because of a lack of depth. They are going to be in bad shape after the holiday part of the season.
actually well be in much better shape then, than we are now. we get maddison and Van de ven back, and romero and bissouma will both have been returned, we will literally be at full strength, our problem is we have one decent defender in van de ven and we have a dirty player in romero who cant stay disciplined, outside that we have no defense. our big issue is the asia cup, and losing SOn for that. but we have no outside league or cup games to worry about .
Don’t we also lose sarr and biss to the Africa cup of nations? We will not be in great shape after the break unfortunately.
Miss him 😭
I miss Gundogan
Kompany & Gundo are both legends for me too but they single handedly took the titles from Liverpool in span of 3 years… So freaking annoying it was…
Although respect to them for doing that for their team
I hate the term ‘clutch’ but that’s exactly what he was. Like a Gerrard or a Drogba, if you needed a goal for an important win he was the man who would pop up and get one
Sir Divock Origi
He’s still in the prem lad
He literally played yesterday for Forest!
Roberto Firmino
