I have been using Vivid screen mode on my Samsung for years now and I wanted to try the Natural setting. I recently turned it on and I kinda getting used to the “raw” look of it. Anyone here who also uses Natural? Are there any pros or cons of using Natural?

You have an AMOLED so use it. If you wanted natural you should have gotten an A13 instead.

Vivid mode is actually not color accurate and just oversaturates everything so it does not adhere to any standardized color profiles like p3 and srgb. take this image for example P3 image example .You cannot see the color difference of the outline on vivid, wherein you can on natural mode

I have been using Vivid since day 1 of this phone and all my previous phones, after reading this post, I tried natural and honestly natural feels like colors are sort of muted or have a vintage tint to it, didn’t like it very much, but like other people said, feels good to eyes

My average SOT has never been above a hour since I’ve started working. Also, before S8 I always kept the display to “Adaptive Display” and had it set to Vivid ever since One UI devices came out. Now on my S23 as well, I keep it On as white looks white and not pale when it’s on Vivid and being a designer, I’m assured while I test something that the colors are accurate and as per the intent or expectation.

So, I think it’s up to everyone’s preference. If you use your device for long periods, it’s better for you to keep it on normal, however, Vivid for me provides more accuracy.

I’ve gone back and forth between natural and vivid. Just recently went back to natural, and it’s much easier on the eyes.
