I dont get this, why is nearly every single leading scorer from the new era?

Why is it never like „yeah he played in the 70s and is leading scorer off xyz“

You can check that, i am not talking bs, its hard to find a leading scorer that was in his prime between 1970-90

Why?

leagues used 2 point for a win system which probably effected the attacking output of the game

I was stuck in 8 East for overtime. I was just taking care of fire safety.

Kiwis too nice it was their cup.

Not anymore. World Cup games and qualifiers are all settled by super over, which is a bit rubbish imo. We (Scotland) qualify for the WC if Holland vs WI is a tie and not a Super Over win for Holland so I am a little biased mind.

They made lot of changes. They removed runners too I found in this World Cup but we have sub now instead.

Ties and no results will still garner a one point gain, but they’re far rarer than a win/loss so no point in changing it

What cricket World cup? There was certainly no world cup this year and certainly India wouldn’t lose in the finals.

That’s a great shout. There was a season when Celtic went a whole season unbeaten, but they still lost the league due to too many draws.

You play three games. 1 win 2 draws. You got 5 points. I get 2 wins and 1 loss. I got 6 points. Now do this over 30 instead of 3 games and I’m ahead of you even so I lost 10 games you none

I don’t really see how that is relevant, in a season now they would have still lost the league but by more points

Exactly. That’s why there’s more impetus to score goals now. Teams drawing every week would get 50% of the points available, but now, they would only get 33% of available points. Therefore it is more important to win games (score goals) in the current era. Hence goalscoring records are all held my modern players.
