Even though what he’s saying here is true I don’t think you can take a word he says on face value. He’s completely disingenuous in everything he says. As the frontman of Sky’s coverage he’s got this enormous platform to dictate football discourse and he’s so aware of it that barely a word he says isn’t intended to get a reaction of some sort.
