You wouldn’t be asking this question if it was a different club about to be shafted as a result of their actions.

The LFC fanbase never offer credit to any well performing rival club players - so why do they expect to receive it themselves?

Being a football fan is about having atleast a shred of hope and optimism. It’s what makes losing games tolerable.

What the glazers have done is robbed Utd fans of that optimism with the cycle of failure they have installed. What makes it worse for Utd in particular is that the media and rival fans still see them as a Real Madrid level club so set expectations that they will never reach, and come down on them like a tonne of bricks when they fail.

Wouldn’t blame you in the slightest if you stopped being a fan. Just don’t support a different English club is all I would say. Maybe follow French football or something.

This is how football has pretty much always worked, so I have no issue with spending money to succeed.

I do take issue with where that money has come from though, and what rules have been broken in order to spend it….
