What’s the plan with Walters? I remember reading an article last season about how highly he was rated and how he’d start getting bedded into the first team but that hasn’t really happened. Is he not ready still? You’d think with our defensive depth this season he’d get some opportunities.

From the little I’ve seen of him I’d say he’s a spanish Jdp Rice. Inferior physicality with slightly better passing ability. Again I’ve not seen too much of him so maybe I’ve got that completely wrong.

I doubt they will. What he’s doing in the bundesliga this season is largely a purple patch and he hasn’t shown this goal scoring prowess before. I get his release clause is only 15 million but I don’t see us targeting a 27 year old who’s only having a prolific season now.

Both Zubimendi and Douglas Luiz sound more like summer targets than January ones because it’d be very expensive and difficult to get them. I’m still of the opinion that we won’t do anything in January but maybe I’m being pessimistic.
