Closest to Diego Costa I can think of is maybe Osimhen or Vlahovic but more aggressive or Nunez when he gets a bit older and bulks up a bit.
But yeah the closest to Drogba is probably Osimhen or Haaland. Although Drogba wasn’t as consistent a scorer as either of them, he was one of the all time great big game scorers.
You know Drogba only scored more than 20 goals in a Prem season once in his career?
Whatever will they do? They should be in League 2 at this point if Everton were deducted 10pts, so are clearly overachieving.
People voting Rice over Partey clearly don’t watch the games. Rice has been playing 8 with either Partey or Jorginho at 6 depending on Partey’s fitness.
Also, based on ‘since 2010’ there is no doubt that Partey is the best CDM we have had. No one even comes close apart from Rice who hasn’t been playing 6 and has been at the club for less than 4 months.
Partey is easily the best CDM we have had since Vieira and Gilberto Silva. Even then Vieira was more of a box-to-box 8/6 hybrid.
Andy Cole and David Sukor always surprise me.
Aaron Ramsey in his prime was similar to Lampard but not as good passing
I’d 100% take Gabriel over Koscielny for LCB. I’m not a new fan or anything, but Koscielny took years to settle and didn’t become a good CB for us til he was in his prime, whereas Gabriel took maybe a year to settle and hasn’t even reached his prime yet and is already a better defender than Koscielny imo.
Koscielny scored a lot of important goals for us, but based off of pure talent and the fact Gabriel is only 24 and part of the best defence in the league, I’d definitely have Gabriel in front of Laurent.
Cesc - Rice - Ramsey.
Imagine Ramsey in our current team in the left 8 role that Xhaka and Havertz play(ed) making his signature late runs into the opposition box, he’d bag so many goals based on Xhaka last season.
Rice at the 6 where Jorginho has been playing recently bossing the midfield by stomping out their attacks and starting ours. Also scoring and assisting as if he’s playing as an 8.
Then goddamn Cesc Fabregas in the right 8 role that Ødegaard plays in our squad. Cesc was born to play that role as a creator/goalscorer mixed package in midfield who is also quick and physical (in his prime). We built our team around him and he fucked us over by leaving and honestly this team is built around Ødegaard or arguably Rice this season (not Saka, despite him being our best player imo) and I desperately hope Øde never leaves and I fully believe that Rice and Saka never will.
