My personal experience from living in Manchester & London is that it’s very common. I’ve encountered many people who have a PL season ticket and also follow a lower league team.
There’s also people who support PL clubs and have been priced out of going. Or people who’ve moved away from their team’s local area and want a live football fix.
One of my hobbies is ground hopping ie. Visiting as many different grounds as I can. It’s very hard to get an away ticket so when we aren’t playing at home I’ll just watch another game elsewhere.
One in the League Cup but both ourselves and Paiace changed our teams for that one.
It’s been an absolute train wreck at United from the very first game and with some tough fixtures coming up, i fear the worst is yet to come. Even the games we’ve won haven’t been through playing well, usually a moment or two of quality from an individual player.
We’ve not been helped by a ridiculous injury crisis (especially in defence) but it goes way beyond that now. The team is broken mentally and I don’t think we’ll turn this around. Already wishing the season was over.
2010 by some distance. South Africa did a fine job as hosts but on the pitch it wasn’t great. A lot of the bigger nations were transitioning between eras or declining. Too many dull, low scoring games.
