There’ll be helmets and pads before you know it. This all started with the tacit acceptance of the word ‘jersey’. IT’S A TOP, ALRIGHT? Shirt, at a push.
Foreign players with no history of English football connections. And no secrets to be leveraged by mysteries betting rings. Or how about ex players from a completely different sport?
I remember being gutted when we signed him. He was clearly needing minutes for internationals, and dollar. But I hear you on fat boy. The FCB made him look better though. Remember that scandal about slagging off Geordie lasses when he was on some golf n prostitutes weekend?
Kluivert just looked like he was here against his will most the time. Owen was a no from the get go. Such an obvious attempt to con/sway the fans by the ownership.
That would be the dream, definitely. Just hope he retains sharpness and develops a healthy respect for the club from standing by him.
OP WTF? Lmao. You still sore because Shearer wouldn’t sign, or are you 14?
Is there a managers union? They should vote with their feet and veto all interviews for a couple of months. But I doubt they’d all do it.
I love Oasis
Good god no. You’ll be asking for ad breaks next.
When we were battling/succumbing to relegation, the occasional draw was a buzz. A win was like mainlining nitrous. The tolerance levels of big six fans is so high they barely get out of bed for anything less than a double. I think a lot of the toxicity in their (mainly online) fan base is down to them being primarily ‘xyz’ supporters, not actual football fans.
Don’t know why this is getting down voted. Up or down votes on this sub are rarely relevant to the comment. So what, a fan isn’t allowed to have an opinion about their own club now? Save that shit for r/soccer.
Wouldn’t be surprised if we lose to NM, prompting a national debate which unsettled the team with our best chance in decades. Panicked last minute changes to the team, to placate the vocal minority, lead to being dumped out at the first knockings, and The Sun and certain sections of social media blames the player with the darkest skin. It’s at tale as old as time.
It’s almost like the pundits were actually expressing their own views… I noticed Wrighties views haven’t had much airing on here and r/soccer.
We need a team of, say, New Zealand ex rugby players with a proven disinterest in football, and a passion for rules and fairness. Any other sport or nationality, really. Just not British prima donnas who have been threaded through our sport like knotweed for decades.
