They lost their best striker and didn’t replace him. End of topic.

Liverpool have done it for years under Klopp and I don’t blame them one bit. If I had crucial games coming up I’d be in players’ ears telling them they aren’t guaranteed a game if they fly around the world to play two pointless games within a week.
More bullshit that won’t change a thing I see.
Utter disgrace. I guess they couldn’t have one of the big boys not qualify. They’ve set the rules up nicely to determine the games I’m such a brazen manner and offer no recourse to those on the receiving end. Disgusting.
I don’t think any fans are saying they didn’t break the rules. They did, most fans acknowledge that. But the severity of the punishment does not fit the crime, and that’s almost universally accepted by pundits, journalists and fans alike.
Would just love you see it. Get them to the Vanorama. Obviously they’ll just be fined about £50m and will just laugh it off though.
Taking all of their titles away isn’t going to remove all of the euphoria their fans enjoyed for a decade, nor the sponsorship deals that make them the richest club in the world, nor the infrastructure they’ve set up not only at their ground and training facility, but also their 10 feeder clubs that benefit them from around the globe.
It’s sickening seeing them continue to be allowed to enjoy the fruits of their rule breaking, all in the knowledge that there is no punishment that can really hurt them.
Taking the titles away means nothing. Fining them means nothing. A transfer ban means nothing.
Even a 50 point deduction wouldn’t guarantee their relegation.
Unless they are demoted to the 7th division or something similar then justice will not have been done.
Salah has van carrying Liverpool for about 6 years so far. You could take any player out of their side from that time and they’d function well, probably top 6-7, but with Salah they are perennial first place contenders.
Everton fan here so biased but that’s obviously a disgrace.
ONE charge. 10 point deduction.
There were six clubs in the Premier League that went behind the FA’s and Premier League’s back in an attempt to destroy world football. Their punishment was about £2m each if I recall.
Now the precedent has been set, so City should be playing in the lower echelons of the National League within a few seasons - but of course we know they will fight and get EVERY single guilty verdict overturned.
Chelsea, expect a suspended sentence.
Just another example of how money dominates football. The FA would not dare give City and its Abu Dhabi owners a penalty that would actually hurt them.
They’ve anyway already been allowed to set themselves up for future generations’ success anyway, punishment or no punishment. The powers that be have sat there and let them reap the rewards of cheating.
ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTEEN FUCKING CHARHES5.
9 possibly 10 games out for him and van de Ven. That’s going to hurt any club, and especially Spurs since these are among their two best players. Spurs should be looking for top four anyway and I think they can still get it what with no European football.
He’s not the one that broke the rules but I’m sure he’s connected enough within the club to know at least some of what they’ve done. Plus, with Mancini being paid via all sorts of channels, it’s hard not to believe Guardiola has also benefited from their rule breaking as well. I don’t think anything will come back to him as even if he’s found to have been paid from various sources it’ll probably go to his agent, but he definitely knows they’ve cheated.
His legacy would be done for if they’re guilty as every single trophy won would be deemed won through cheating. He’d surely need to resign from a club that, according to him at least, told him they’re completely innocent and it’s merely his great leadership that caused all of their success. Any morals left in him would surely cause him to not want to be taken down with them.
