What point are you making? There are no games over the weekend in the men’s domestic leagues that Sky has rights to, so they have a choice of either…

Purely here to say it’s ‘Forest’.
Not even a NF fan but find this weirdly infuriating. The word is spelt ‘Forest’ in all contexts other than when followed by ‘Gump’ or preceded by ‘Craig’.
There are sustainability rules, you can only spend a set amount more than you bring in. With PL revenue gone, City/Chelsea would need to sustain their sponsorship and ticket revenue in order to afford their wages etc. It’s done on a three year rolling calculation so they’d be ok if they came right back up but if somehow they shat the bed and didn’t, it could get interesting for them. Although if they didn’t come straight back up they’d then qualify for parachute payments, ridiculously enough.
As a fan of a Championship club I’ll be pretty fuming if Man City and Chelsea get deducted 100pts or something, or just immediately relegated. That’s two auto promotion spots out of the question for the other 22 next season and they’re the only teams that will ever get televised.
Plus, it kills the relegation battle in the Prem as all three of Luton, Burnley and Sheff Utd will probably survive. Without having to bother trying. Then by the time they inevitably come back down a year later, they’re all even stronger and richer to compete with after a free pass to stay in the big time.
Phillips came to my mind too. Still is a just-above-average Championship player but what a hit that was. QPR were about 3 or 4 nil down at the time too.
