We are looking for a passer to partner with a bullish ball winner and driver. That’s Kimmich, De Jong, Zubimendi – a younger Jorginho.
In the current team, Odegaard can attempt it IF Kai Havertz find a time machine and get his Leverkusen self again.
The club might be looking at Douglas Luiz tho, two pit bulls/engines to “protect” a #10. The Spurs approach.
Obviously we can’t spend big, but some of the best players in the Championship rn are young English DMs like Wharton, Hackney and Neil. All are multifaceted footballers—nothing like the old-school Cattermole mould.
Doubt we’d consider them, but it’s something to keep an eye on. Reckon the Championship is going to explode a source of homegrown talent in the next few years.
