He is the most 6/10 player I have ever seen… He is not even bad he is just not grt decent squad player to have due to his versatility and we just smashed 65million on him what a ridiculous signing and there are people in the sub still in denial about it
Thing is he’s our player now and if most of the fan base slags him off, he is much less likely to play well - so you may as well support your team, if he’s going to turn it around he will need to feel the fans behind him.
It’s basically the one thing we can control as fans tbh.
You’re allowed to criticise a player or say he’s not good, especially when he was signed there were many fans here and on Twitter saying shit like “you don’t know ball if you don’t rate havertz” if he can’t produce because of Reddit criticism then hes mentally weak
Don’t think anyone is in denial about how mid he has been lol - there is just a hope that he can get better because he has been better previously in his career. Might never happen but to be a complete doomer and say right that’s it time to pack it in after less than half a season is silly
You say you don’t think anyone’s in denial but read the comments in any match rating thread basically calling us all haters and a agenda for rating him low 🤣
There’s a weird Havertz cult on here who will defend anything he does and claim that we just simply don’t see what he does
I’ve been watching the guy for 4 years none of his performances surprise me but for sure Arteta needs to try and make it work which I’m sure he will try
There’s always a couple of weird people with weird takes on anything if you look for it - majority of people who aren’t shitting on Havertz are just waiting and seeing. I think the Havertz cult you are describing will just be a very vocal group of about 10 people don’t let them rattle you.
In regards to watching his performances for 4 years maybe thats why - because I watched him 4-6 years ago for Leverkusen and he looked unreal. Shame he hasn’t looked anything like that for us but he is still relatively young and I’m hoping for the best
No one’s in denial. People see this kinda comment and get annoyed.
£65m is NOT a lot of money for an attacker in todays game, esp. For a PL proven one.
Same idiots that bring up his price tag just completely ignore the fact we sold Balo for close to 40m and he’s never played more than a few minutes for us.
Pl proven to be a average player…65m is a lot of money what the hell are you on about don’t let mudryk and antony warp your perspective… Balugon is a 20year old striker coming after a grt season with potential and will have the same or more price tag after 5 years and not a 24 year old player who has been average in his last 3 years
Proven in the PL to be worth nowhere near 65M. I support Havertz because he’s one of us but are you fucking kidding me saying that amount wasn’t complete daylight robbery? For that amount we could have gotten: Maddison, Palmer, Szoboszlai, Gravenberch, Mac Allister, Tonali, and a whole plethora of others for cheaper.
Arteta’s insistence is the only reason we signed this guy, and he’s got enough good will for it, but holy fuck the signing makes no sense for 65M.
I can see the potential in Havertz, while acknowledging that he’s nowhere close to where he needs to be esp as an attacking player…
But first week or two of the PL and I was ready to ship him off for Maddison, Szoboszlai, Gravenberch and Palmer. We would have saved £20m too. Could even put that towards a better keeper with the style profile we need.
Havertz used to play with Brandt at Leverkusen and he’s been impressive in CL games.
This is what makes me mad so many great creators were in the market and us coming off a great season would have loved to join us. Dani Olmos is another player i would love to see at Arsenal. Liverpool got Szobozlai and he has been a great buy.

Bro, if you don’t suck his dick you aren’t a true arsenal fan? Who cares about standards or quality, if he’s arsenal support him!
6/10 is generous, guy offers absolutely nothing. When he’s playing in midfield, for periods of the game it feels like we’re playing a man down
