My friend and I were debating who were the 3 biggest teams of all time- surely it’s Man united, Liverpool and Arsenal, in no particular order but in terms of trophies, global awareness and world class players who have played for these clubs. Please let me know if u disagree and argue another club should be there?
https://theathletic.com/2087683/2020/10/01/england-biggest-club-premier-league/?source=user_shared_article So who really is England’s biggest club?
I’d love to see some nerds update this since it’s over 3 years old now. Their aggregate has top three as United, Liverpool and Chelsea (Chelsea 2nd ranked in global fan base) 🧐
It’s real, Barca, man united. Let’s be real
Why was this downvoted? OP said of all time, so not just restricted to the prem
For the Premier League, it surely has to be Man City, Leicester, and Blacknurn Rovers (in no particular order,).
Looks like I’m getting down voted by a lot of folks who hate a plucky underdog success story.
Maybe you’re being sarcastic hard to tell with your flair but I think many people including myself respect Leicester and Blackburn but not your club using blood money to buy success lol
I just think it’s laughable for fans of clubs like United or Arsenal or Liverpool to whine about buying success when they’ve done that for ages or to accuse fans of City of being plastic or glory hunters when they’re conveniently fans of the historically biggest and most successful clubs in England.
If we’re talking PL/English teams then yes those 3.
If we’re going global then Real Madrid, Barca and Man United
I definitely agree with you. However, if Man City keeps performing at the rate they’re at right now, they will replace Arsenal in this list in a few years.
Tottenham, Everton, and Swansea
Are you forgetting Stoke? Even prime Messi was too scared to ever play in the Britannia on a cold Tuesday night. What more proof do you need?
Hello Gylfi 👋
Premier League: MU, Liverpool, and Arsenal Europe: Pick 3 of Real Madrid, Barcelona, MU, Liverpool, and Bayern
Europe is Real Madrid, AC Milan and Liverpool.
If you’re only talking about winning European trophies, yes, but if you’re talking about the biggest teams overall that are from Europe (so total trophies, general always being at that top table, global fan base), it’s got to be Real, Barca and Man Utd
So statistically it’s
United with 20 league titles Liverpool with 19 league titles Arsenal with 13 league titles
Followed by Everton and Man City with 9 league tiles and then Villa with 7.
Football began in 1992 ya silly goose
😆😆
Lmlbo
(Laughing my little booty off)
I’m aware it’s probably a very unpopular opinion but Chelsea are bigger than Arsenal IMO. They’re the best and most successful club in London.
Probably in early 2010s there were lots of new fans and plastic fans
Someone said Kim Kardashian
Worldwide Barcelona, Real Madrid, Man United/Bayern. EPL is def United, Liverpool and Arsenal.
Liverpool and Liverpool Reserves. No need for a third
The very fact we are even talking about United in this company with the shower of S… football the club has served up in the last decade shows you why it’s the most supported club in world football, although I think you have to say nowadays the biggest 5 clubs in world football and that’s currently unquestionably Real Madrid, Barcelona, Man United, Liverpool and Bayern.
Go to South America it’s all Barca and Madrid, Go to Africa it’s all united, go to sub continent and Middle East it’s more even with all 5 clubs, but in south east Asia it’s dominated by Liverpool, Madrid and united shirts. North America is Madrid, Barca, Chelsea, Arsenal and united.
Genuine fans in the world, honestly United probably have more than any other club, but so many of those fans are dormant because they follow success and right now that club is an embarrassment to be mentioned in the same conversation as the others based on the last decade however the question is who are the biggest clubs historically?
Only 2 teams have gone undefeated, plus one team helped inspired the Champions League. Therefore I submit the answer must be
Arsenal, Preston North End and Wolverhampton Wanderers
I will not be taking questiond at this time
U mean MK Don, Stockport and Halifax Town?
United and Liverpool are clear 1 and 2
Personally I would say Chelsea are ahead of Arsenal, for sure. Arsenal won titles a long time ago but in the Premier League era Chelsea have 5 to Arsenals 3.
But mainly Chelsea have won 2 UCL titles, and 2 Europa leagues whereas Arsenal have zero European success.
