We didn’t seem to get settled in the first half. Ramsdale was dropping howlers, we weren’t progressing all that great.
Second half better, but Brentford absolutely packed the box and we struggled to get clear chances. Ramsdale got better but didn’t have much to do. Trossard did not impress in midfield, think it was the wrong game to expect a positive performance from him.
Havertz gave us another dimension, we were crying out for better height in midfield all game and ultimately that became the game winner for us in the last moments.
Overall a frustrating game but a hard won 3 points
Our xG almost certainly does not point to that but our dominance elsewhere is definitely serious

There is potential with Trossard 8 but today was not the game that moved the needle positively. Needs to be at the Emirates and not against a giant team. We didn’t look settled at all and Trossard was getting pickpocketed a lot imo. Felt like he joined the static attacking line more instead of dropping deep to pick up the ball
Pass was so on. How many times does Odegaard easily pass this into the bottom corner

That was CF i thought. In pre season he was good in midfield, but then he didn’t play much at the start of the season so we kinda lost that
We need to be REALLY decisive with our passing today. Trossard’s close control is going to be valuable but we lose a ton of physicality in midfield
