Truly love the classic old english stadiums that are almost extinct right now. Those that were so incorporated into the neighbour that it was a “neighbour” too. Those were you could walk to the stadium along those working class terraced houses, almost like the once you see in such as peaky blinders etc. Also the structure of the stadium itself… Hard to find more beautiful stadiums than old highburry … or villa park… A masterpiece… and all the local life that were around those stadiums… with pubs that had been there since the mourning… the corner shop were you could catch your local food. Word to think that next year another one of those (Goodison Park) will be gone…
Might also be bonuses in the contract of the players related to how much he scores… That for some teams or players make them more prone to make the goal themselves than giving away the goal to some others…
