I’m not sure how much point 1 would work in terms of reducing the number of penalties scored. Keepers at the moment study the opposing penalty taker and know which side they favour etc. Randomising it in some ways makes it harder for the keeper.

Lampard might be the best goal scoring midfielder of all time, but I feel he was only really at his best when he had two other midfielders doing a lot of the leg work (makalele/essien/ballack/Mikel etc) so for me from an overall impact point of view I think he just misses out on the top table. For me Keane, Viera, Gerrard, Scholes, Yaya, KDB. Special shout out to Modric and Alonso too.
