  • It’s funny how everyone who joins Manchester United immidiately becomes a worse player. Onana was the best GK in the UCL last season, but I guess it has nothing to do with having a proper defense and team in front of him. Di Maria, Pogba, Alexis Sanchez, Varane, Casemiro, even Cristiano Ronaldo, everyone who joins this shitty club suddenly becomes the worst version of themselves. Ever wondered why? That’s some good food for thought.

I’m not saying Onana hasn’t made his mistakes, but all your fanbase can do for the past decade is to find scapegoats, hate them 24/7 and blame them for every single thing. Onana is the only reason you even have one win in the groups, without that penalty save you’d be eliminated from both UCL and UEL right now.

  • I dont understand, if ligue 1 is so Bad, why are best spanish or english teams still buying french players or ligue 1 players ?

Nobody said Ligue 1 it’s bad, but it’s closer to Eredivisie and Portuguese league than the other top leagues. EPL and La Liga teams also buy players from those leagues as well, doesn’t mean they are amazing leagues overall.

I still remember what Messi did in ligue 1 ? His stats where nothing related to when he was in barca

Also forgot the fact that Messi went in Ligue 1 at 33 and he never looked like giving a shit about club football, he was only focused in the WC. His 2nd season was good in terms of output, 32 G&A in 32 league games isn’t bad by any means.

maybe because the liga défense, except for 3 or 4 teams, are pure batshit …

First of all, you can’t judge two whole leagues by one player. I presented multiple examples of players dominating Ligue 1 and then failing miserably on other leagues and your best example is a 34 year old not being as good as when he was on his 20s? Well, no shit, who could have expected that.

Second, you probably haven’t watched a single La Liga game, since most teams are notorious for park the bus tactics and really tight defenses in general, with many fouls commited as well. Also wanna compare leagues? There are currently 4 Spanish teams TOPPING their UCL groups, Betis, Villareal and possibly Sevilla have a realistic shot at winning UEL. Yet Ligue 1’s best team by far is struggling to even qualify in the round of 16 and the rest are just… somewhere, nobody really knows.

  • Pope was the reason you got a point against Milan and then you played like shit home and away against Dortmund. Even if all the stars align and you end up in the round of 16 (which is still possible, but I doubt you know it), your park the bus team will get destroyed by teams like Real Madrid, Bayern or Inter. You’re just a small oil club that was lucky to play and win against another small oil club.

Also since you wanted motivation about the Europa League, not only the teams you mentioned play there, but also Leverkusen, Villareal, Betis, Liverpool, West Ham, Brighton, Roma etc. So there are plenty of good and exciting teams, you’re just too afraid that you’re gonna get destroyed.

  • He’s turning 25 in less than a month and he is a player mainly relying on pace and quick movement, so I doubt he will have a career as long lasting as Messi or Ronaldo.

So, unpopular opinion, but given the fact that he cares more about money than legacy, I could see him staying in Paris for 5-6 more years without winning anything the UCL and then leaving to go on Saudi Arabia for even more money. By the time 2030 WC will be over and everyone will start talking about the 2034 one in that country, Mbappe will be already there to be their number one advertisment.

  • Interestingly enough he scored 4 goals in 30 EPL games in 21/22 and during all his EPL seasons he scored 10-14 goals.

Even more interestingly, the last two best goalscoring seasons were 27 goals in 35 games in 22/23 and 28 in 30 in 2016/17. Both of this seasons were in Ligue 1, just before and just after Arsenal.

But, I guess you’re totally right, it’s a total coincidence that Lacazette was an average/bad striker in EPL for years (people called him Alexander Lack-of-threat) and once he plays in the Uber Eats league he scored almost 30 goals. Total coincidence, it has nothing to do with the huge difference in the level of football.
