If we had all these 3 items sorted, gad damn we’ll be causing absolute mayhem this season. I am hopeful with 1) and 2) being resolved in the next summer, just wished we can capitalise with everything that is ongoing at the moment this season (and the previous one :( )

Fact of the matter is you don’t know jack about why arteta benched him. For all you know ,it could be off field /personal life matters that he feel Ramsdale might be distracted with and not in the right mental state, which i am not going to go into details to. He had a great season in the last one no doubt, but he also massively fell off in the matches of the ‘draw streak’ near the end of the campaign

Honestly, he doesn’t need to prove to anyone about his own abilities. It is not entirely just about scoring goals as much as it is about contributing to the team and being part of a system that effectively tilts the winning probability in your team’s favour on matchdays, and that’s really exactly what he is all about, at least for now.

That isn’t to say he cannot evolve his game any further too, he has still many good years left in him to work on that part of his game, and i believe he will should he be able to keep himself fit and healthy for most parts of the seasons now and moving forward.

No disrespect but he hasn’t even reached the finished product at LW so i don’t see why the club would risk dropping that all away and pushing him out to ST role. If anything, he can play 2nd striker in the future with more of a switchup/dual role at certain stages of the game within a match. I still see us needing that dominant and imposing CF in our squad which we still haven’t quite filled the void in a long time (since Giroud who has his fair shares of good qualities and shortcomings)
