Shout ‘FFS Sheffield/Utd/Blademeisters, you’re shit!’ People will assume you’re a fan

Home fans love the banter, so join in with the away fans’ chants using your loudest and most obnoxious voice. They will love you and it will go down a treat.

When Liverpool score, jump salmon-like into the air, then make ‘wanker’ gestures at the Sheff. Utd fans. When you’re getting escorted out of the ground by the stewards and the Sheff. Utd fans are shouting obscenities, do it a few more times. Check YouTube when you get home to see if soneone filmed it.

Don’t go in liverpool gear, Don’t overreact to in-game situations (good or bad), don’t get drunk beforehand so you will still be able to read the room (ie be able to tell whether you’re surrounded by dickheads) but enjoy yourself.

I was in the sunderland end for the sunderland liverpool beachball game years back… all went fine (apart from the game) used the park and ride with all the sunderland support. No problems from beginning to end.

I’ve done the in with the home fans as an away fan thing a few times. Just be neutral at all times. Face included. Unless you’re acting like an idiot, you’ll be fine.

You’re fine as long as you keep quiet. I “outed” myself as a West Ham fan in the Chelsea end, was fine when they scored, but a random misplaced pass and I let out a “fuck sake”. Luckily I was sat with the plastics and no one said anything, in fact a couple of people at half time let me know they were Hammers too!

Still, shit 1-0 loss, Mourinho’s team could be dire to watch.

I’ve sat next to an Everton fan at the derby once, and he was fine. It does happen, from my experience it’s only cl matches where it gets a bit iffy. Few ajax fans last season over celebrated and wound up a lot in the home end, ended up getting kicked out because it got a bit physical in the end. Shout out to Villareal fans, they had loads in the home end during the CL semi the other year, and they were a great bunch.
