Lemina from Wolves will miss their game against us in PL due to suspension. That’s a pretty big miss for them, besides Neto of course.

The most frightening thing for other teams is that it feels like we can be even better defensively.
Mudryk goal, Gordon goal, Pereira goal came in either riduculosly lucky, controversial or unforced circumstances. That’s 30% of what we conceded this season in PL. We actually conceded less xGA than actual goals. Plus we have Jurrien Timber and Thomas Partey to come back and extend our defensive/defensive midfield rotations even further.
If Newcastle were consistently just playing physical and adding a bit of shithousery, I genuinely wouldn’t have a problem with it. All teams do It.
But the way they constantly dive, surround referees, play not physical, but a thuggish style of football is what annoys me, especially with Newcastle fans thinking they are some hot shit because of that.
When measuring to £115 million fee + a sell on clause, Caicedo would have to literally be the best DM in the world to justify that kind of money and he hasn’t. Of course Caicedo can improve and likely he will, but I don’t think he will reach that very very elite status in his position.
I think it helps that Kroenkes were proactive and launched a internal investigaton by delegating Tim Lewis to do It.
The fact that it also caused a board overhaul with Sanllehi leaving is telling that the Pepe deal was about individuals who tried to direct a part of clubs money to their pockets.
It’s not about us gaining an unfair advantage against other clubs.
Havertz rumors were quickly comfirmed by reliable sources.
Until that happens other stories are just that. Rumors.
It’s not only happening in UK or US as well.
I’m from Lithuania and whenever I want to watch my domestic basketball league or any game broadcasted on our domestic channels I get just spammed with gambling ads, it’s like there’s no other type of ad. It’s gotten to absurd levels in the last few years.
If they announced this along with at least some guidelines of what they would plan to do to improve the refereeing then I would be fine with this.
But just using some managers interviews to crack down on them and clubs for daring to question the refs further screams of protecting the ‘boys club’. That’s what is most frustrating about this.
I would argue that the abuse will actually increase, because clubs and players will feel that referees don’t want to be transparent. This encourages them and fans to think that refs are out to get their respective clubs. Everyone loses at that point.
If there was a way to ensure that Rice and Partey both were fit then Partey most likely would’ve been better.
That’s due to him having already played multiple seasons for us, understanding his role and what Arteta wants him to do.
Rice is still doing that along the way, at a very high level mind you.
Partey when fit and on his game is the best CDM in the league. Obviously his personal issues and injury record make it hard to make that argument.
Tbf the situation with Raul is different, because the dealings that he made were to enrich himself and not solely to improve the club.
If any investigaton actually comes, Arsenal can simply point to the fact that they likely lost money due to how Raul conducted Pepe transfer and Arsenal can also argue that they proactively took action by launching a internal investigaton which led to Raul leaving.
You sure got him there, man.
Getting big players who are getting older on big wages is just peak united.
Going for status and ‘prestige’ rather than truly adressing the issues in their squad.
It’s probably Koscielny, but Gabriel has the chance to over take him in time if we win a PL/CL trophy, because their levels aren’t far apart, so then it would come down to their achievements at the club.
I genuinely don’t get his shtick.
Partly I understand that making shocking takes gets him views and attention, but you at least have to make it somewhat believable that these are genuinely his opinions and not something he plays up.
Also, he’s just a terrible person, like I would say that I myself am a bit cynical, but watching him just confirms to me that he has no empathy, compassion or that he even tries to consider anything that can be considered ‘big picture’.
To me Lee Gunner is just a Roy Keane without any footballing ability, but even more ‘yer da’ style of takes.
